got my all clears today...time for paint...
well i bought some all clear off ebay...and yes i paid a lot for them...i met up with the kid and picked them up, he said he had no idea how much people wanted them since he never comes on the org or any other maxima related sites, but anyway, the lights are mint...kyle (97blackse) is gonna help me pull them apart but i was wondering if anyone had any pointers on painting them...im not a very good painter and i want them to look good, i dont wanna screw them up, and also if somone could give me a site to order the testers red paint, no hobby shop around here has it...
thanx for the help and i'll def. post pics when their done

Hey Man, funny story. I thought i was getting red/clears that were painted wrong so i went out and got the Red Paint and Paint remover so if you over spray you can clean it out. Well turns out the deal fell through..so if you want to buy my paint&paint thinner that has never been opened just PM me.

Well...so your the one that outbid me....oh well. But anyways, I believe that Vans Taillight Paint was recalled and it's almost as hard to find as all clears. Testors is your best bet.
Word of advice on painting. Start out the first coat VERY VERY thin, just a quick pass and let dry for a minute. This creates a nice sticky surface on the plastic for the paint to grab, and since the paint is so thin it tends to run sometimes. Doing this will prevent running (unless you overcoat tremendously )
Also, paint the inside because you still have the natural glossiness of the plastic and you will have a visible line where you painted and the top clear part

why would anyone paint the outside of all clears?Thats only when ur redding out stock ones.If u do paint the outside of the all clears i think they will not look as good.Definetly paint the inside like the David Ls.
