Question...

1) Are you or plan on being boosted/nitrous'd anytime soon?

If so, go with an Exedy Stage 1/ACT Stage 1 and a Fidanza flywheel. Have heard good things about that combo. My buddy MaxPowerX will be running that setup shortly. Im currently running an Exedy Stage 1 and i love it. But i dont go around ragging on it and such. You have to be careful with a clutch as powerful as this...

Now...if your NOT boosted/nitrous'd go with a stock clutch/fidanza or something of that extent. Theres absolutely no use for an Exedy/ACT if your all motor. You will never make enough power all motor to justify an Exedy/ACT over a stock one. Stick with a stocker and save your tranny some life. Just my advice, and im sure many will agree...

I only have few bolt ons like a exhaust intake short shifter and that's about it and I'm not going with any boost cuz my car has over 178000 on it so I guess I just go with the stock clutch.

I was thinking about going with ACT stage 1 but now Im not sure what kinda of damage would I do to my tranny if I went with that?

not sure if you've done this already, but if it was empty, you might want to bleed the clutch just incase you got some air in the system...just my $0.02

I agree. One morning I came out to the car to leave and when I pushed the clutch, BAM right to the floor. Needless to say I left 30 mins late cause I had to bleed the clutch.

I have the usual bolt ons and I also got a ACT stage II with the Fidanza. I've been scorned by org members for doing this on a non-boosted Max but I am calling it a foundation to future mods. Either way, it is actually my favorite mod done to my Max. It grips instantly and the flywheel has a subtle pull. I have no problems yet and have put over 25k miles on it thuys far with no disappointment. So its up to you. I'm a huge fan of ACT clutches and the flywheel is a toss up. Fidanza is a well known produst so stick with what you know. Good luck...
