Clutch Vibration? How come?

Hey guys...in 1st or 2nd, especially 1st from a stop...letting the clutch out very slowly produces a noticable vibration...the only way to stop it is to get the RPM's in the high 1000's to almost 2000, but i feel that im burning out my clutch alot quicker by doing that.

Any suggestions as to what needs to be replaced? 100k miles dunno if its a stock disc.

Could be a bad motor mount as well.

its most likely the motor mounts, u wont be burning out ur clutch taking off at 1 - 2 k, i do it, and the trick is to come off the clutch a little faster than normal to reduce wear

Ok thats what i was thinking becuase lets say you're just riding around in first around 5mph, the car is kinda movin back and forth...also in 4th gear letting off the gas and getting back on makes the shifter move, so i figured that was the mounts.

Just for kicks...how do you know if your clutch is going bad?

IF you had an aftermarket clutch, say, an Exedy/ACT, then that would be normal. Its clutch chatter...

And you'll know when your clutch starts going bad. It'll start slipping, noticeably during a 1-2 hard shift...

and u can test it out by driving in a higher gear say 5th at around 40mph, punch it and see if the rpms rise with the car not going anywhere, if so ur clutch is on its way out
