Template for CAI hole? (as seen in shoptalk)

I got my CAI today and have no template. It's the ebay one so it just shipped with the parts themselves. I can put it in but could someone please post a template for that hole? Don't wanna carve up my max the wrong way.

I have the same one. the Place Racing CAI has a hole for it in the cold air pipe (the pipe that is bent and twisted). The ebay intake doesn't (it's a cheap copy) but instead it has an extra hole in the midpipe (why?). the sensor is for intake air temp. (plastic black piece)

you have to take the grommet out of the midpipe and plug that extra hole with a bung. then drill a large hole in the cold air pipe stick the rubber grommet in and then put the sensor through. The hole should be made after final fitment so you know where to mark the best place for it. it should be inside engine bay, positioned so the harness doesn't stretch too much.

I didn't install the cold air pipe on mine, so i put that sensor in the hole in the midpipe until winter ends and i can finish the installation.

I will try to get a pic up of the hole I drilled in my max tonight, but there is a hole right next to the one where the template lined up...I winged it and it worked out fine

With the ebay CAI setup, cant the sensor stay in the midpipe? I dont understand that if the hole is in the midpipe for the sensor, why does it need to be moved in the bent piping?
