K&N and the plight of MAF Sensors

I'm about to get my Frankencar intake some day, and opted for the cheaper K&N. What's this I hear about the K&N oil killing off MAF sensors?

Its a fact on some cars. Mine had the MAF replaced as the result of having a drop in K&N filter, that was never re-oiled. You can actually see the red oil building up on the sensor if you look closely, once you start getting some miles on it.

I would use another brand that isn't saturated in oil.

you are suppose to use the oil.....filter dose not work if you don't. and you cannot over oil it or you will pull the oil into the maf tube.
