Modding my car this coming month.

Check it out everyone I got my student loan: $1,500 I have my school paid for so, its money to blow on stuff, I'll pay it back when I graduate and become something big and famous (lol). Any how, I'm ordering the warpspeed y-pipes, injen intake, and UDP (who do you recommend?). My question is, as there installing my y-pipes, how do I go about doing my custom b-pipes? Do I tell them to make it as wide as my exhaust pipe??(2.5inches?) Or what????? Also I want to hit the track about a 2 weeks after the installment to shut some Pontiacs up, what else should I add to my ride???? I decided to stick with auto. These are my upcoming mods after these:

VB mod: Mobiletek or Maxtuning? (mobiletek can ship the core, can maxtuning do that too??)
ECU Upgrade: I'm guessing Technosquare?
Tranny Cooler: What kind?

What else should I get, what I can I possibly hit at the track with this months mods??? My best time stock is 16.1............. Anyhow thanks alot

Get a VB mod...period...and BTW, buying a tranny cooler is a given when you get a VB mod. If you don't, your tranny becomes metal poop very quickly. Get a Hayden 403...I got one and it fits nicely...the 404 is a little bigger, i'd get it if you're getting a VB mod AND plan on doing the DR mod. I'm probably not gonna do the DR mod, and even if I do, the aux cooler will more than handle it. If not, I'll stick an aux fan in front of it. Too bad you already got the Y pipe...i was gonna say that you should buy some Cattman headers and the Y pipe as well...IronLung's car sounds so good, it should be illegal to have something that beautiful sounding. I know they're not cheap...but listen to that engine...enuff said...

instead of the VB spend that $ on NOS and do a WOT drop resistor. Get the tranny cooler at your local Auto parts store for $50......

IronLung's car sounded like that because of cams and headers.

Dude, way to go...get the Unothordox Pulley. Get the tranny cooleer form like Jegs I think hell why not get the bigger one? I don't think it'll hurt. Do you hvae an intake yet? I really want the Injen CAI! Yeah thevalve body would be a must if you really want the tranny to last longer and have it perform better. Then maybe if you have some extra money left over go for the ECU! Hell a MEVI would be weet too BUT you aint got all that much to play aroung with $$$.
Well good luck....I got my fulltime job here with the school district but am saving to leave to UNT and move out so modding may be kept to a minimum. BUt hey the intake is doable. Good luck...

I think since its a student loan/govt loan, the interest rate goes around 4.9-7.9 something like that. I'll be paying it off, soon thou. But it was money giving to me so why not use on my ride. I dont want to get in debt. I'll pay all back ASAP

It actually preserves the life of your transmission. But anyways....

If you're only going the track once and a while and not driving like a jacka ss the rest of the time, you could do without the VB mod, just do the drop resistor mod wired to a switch and save yourself a few hundred dollars to spend on other stuff. Get a pair of lightweight wheels and tires for up front, it'll probably have more of an effect on your 1/4 mile time than a y-pipe would.

Oh and if you get an underdrive pulley, check the GD section, there are two different vendors selling theirs for great prices. ~100$ or so

New Student loans have a Cap of 8% as they have since mid 90s. Right now it may be low but they change every July 1st, remember that. It can go up or down. Who is your loan with? If you dont mind me asking. to be on topic good luck on the modding. Its good to have money like that.

Do the b-pipe locally don't worry about that....

I'd personally go with Technosquare...where in the valley are you going to top out your car? We all do most of our racing at the track anyway...so technosquare would provide hella torque more for drag use plus you don't have a MEVI....SO why JWT? You can take car of the speed limiter with a snip of the wire....but we're not 12-10 second cars hitting 130mph...Good luck....hey did you get those tail light covers? or is that another person's max?
