Heated Mirrors question

I didnt have heated mirrors but noticed that the harness for heated mirrors was there. I bought a set and put them on. To my understanding they turn on when you put your rear defogger on. This doesnt happen to be working for me. Can anyone help and tell me if I am doing something wrong putting them on????

don't quote me on this but I thought that they turn on when you put the front windshield defroster on . . . .(i'm not sure) . . . but they should work almost instantly. . .

I was told that they go on when you open the glove box, but I could be wrong.

I have tried the heated seats and the front windshield defroster. Neither are doing the trick.

Maybe you're missing something else... I don't think it's plug and play since not many people with 95s have them installed

They go on with the rear window defroster. Being your car came without them, your probably missing a relay to activate them.

Yeah, I hear you, very strange how misconceptions are way off.

Anyway, I'd be curious if the connectors are identical for heated and non or what. Often even though plugs are physically identical, the wiring is not the same, or wires are not there when not needed.

They definitely go on with the defroster. If the power mirrors work yet they don't heat up, I'd guess something is lacking like the other dude said, a relay or some sort of connection back to the defroster circuit. To tell you the truth I wouldn't go crazy over them, they are nice to have true. But they came with cold weather pkg. cars.

Mine does the same thing. When I have the defroster on they work. I never thought this to be something special though...

So I guess my question now is. Does anyone know of what relays are required for these heated mirrors?
