get a dremel..and cut out where the black stuff attackes to borders of the grill. then grind it down so its flush..now u have lots of room to put in a nice grill of your choice form homedepot. u can kinda see it in my sig.. too bad my fron is busted.. couple pics on my www. if u want to see a dremeled out homedepot grill when my car still looked nice. paint it black IMO.. looks clean but doesnt stand out like rice.

no no no no wait, lol! You dont need to dremel out anything

This is how its done.
What you will need is, a roll of wire tie that you can get from a hardware store, some Gutter Guard you get from Home Depot and some Poster Paper.
What you do is put the paper up to the grill and try and trace some sort of a template. thats what I did and when i cut it out, it was still to big but I made some trimmings and watned to make sure it completely fits right in the upper and lower part of the chrome bar or colored bar in the middle of the grill. 2 Seperate pieces.
Once that is done, now line it up on the guttar guard and cut it out from the template. What I did was I painted the grill a metallic silver (3 coats) then 3 coats of Clearcoat. You can get all that spray paint when you get the wire tie. Paint the grill, if you wish. Its better so it prevents rusting
Got that done? Now put the top part that you cut out from the gutter guard and bottem part in place where the grill is. Now when you cut out that mesh, please wear gloves, or your gonna have some sliced up fingers lol. I learned the hard way.
Now its easier to completely take the grill out of the car. Which in the back of the grill has a few snaps and it just comes out, you will see it when you look at it.
Now that you have the mesh in place, Use the wire ties to push in the middle of each little square box from the black plastic in the back, through the mesh. So your gonna bend the wire like a V, then push it between the mesh into each border form each square. That way you can now TIE it from the back like you tie garbage bags, and it will hold in place that way. You must do that with all the squares on the upper and lower part. Once thats done, the ties are the same color as the mesh, so you can barely see the ties. you should be all done.
So now sit back, look at the grill and your sliced up fingers, and realize .....Was it worth making the grill because of cuttin my hand up? Well, Of COURSE IT WAS!
I hope this write up helped guys

I dont have any closeups. I can get one though. Dont use zipties, cause they will be seen. When I take the close up of the grill on my car, u will see the little wire ties. you buy them from a hardware store, comes in a roll.

I just made my grill like superblack did, and i am just wondering are wire ties the best way to tie it? I was wondering if you could just use some sort of string??? or would that melt b/c its close to the engine? im just wondering...
