Wiring up an aftermarket spoiler brake light, got some questions.

Ok this is a long story why I finally decided to do this. I got Infinity 6002i speakers for the back and I installed them myself, while do it, I tore the carpet on the rear deck. I was able to make it look like new by tucking it under the defroster and the speaker itself. Well my car came with the aftermarket spoiler, but the light was never wired up. So yesterday I blew my back speakers. So I decided this is what I would do...
1) Get new Infinity Kappa Series speakers (higher quality)
2) Get a new rear deck (one w/o the brake light so it'll look more like the spoiler isn't aftermakret)
3) Wire up the spoiler light.
I want to do this all in one day, starting with the spoiler lights. How in god's name do I do this, I'm guessing you have to splice the wire into the brake relays somehow, but I don't know where they are. The spoiler light has all the wires there, just not hooked up the anything. Also any tips on when I'm putting the new speakers in on how to not rip the carpet?
One more thing, does anyone know where I can buy a new rear deck? I have tan interior, I know junkyards, but anywhere else?

Under the interrior lining on your trunk deck lid you'll find a plug (red and white wires) taped up and not connected to anything. Thats the factory wiring for your spoiler brake light, just tap into it. Should take you no more then 5 minutes.

it isn't going to the spoiler, it's hanging off the wiring for the braking, reverse lights...and the wiring for the spoiler you have to drill an extra hole where the wires are coming out of the spoiler. If that makes any sense at all.

there are 2 wires coming out the spoiler, both are black. one is going into the brake lights and the other on a screw into the trunk. me and my dad tried to ground it correctly, but it didnt do nething. what should i do with the wire that isn't going to the brake light.

If your car came with a 3rd brake light, just tap your spoiler in there. That's what I did when I installed my aftermarket spoiler. No need for relays or anything. The spoiler should just have two wires coming out of it, a power wire and ground wire. To check to make sure your bulbs are burned out, just hook it up to a power source.

Battery, or any 12 volt source, splice some wires to your turn signals and test it
