Pacesetter STS vs B&M (or others)

I'm thinkin about getting the Pacesetter b/c its adjustable, but http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaShortShifter suggested that there are some problems with the Pacesetter
Some users have had to grind down the pivot ball to make it fit right, and others have complained of the shifter hitting the console when in 1st, 3rd, and 5th.
... so I might go with the B&M as its the next least expensive. What are your experiences with these two STS's? Thanks.

I've had the B&M for about 2 months now and when I first got it I was thinking, oh crap this is very stiff and notchy compared to stock...BUT within 1-2 weeks it loosened up considerably and it is AWESOME now! Shifts are much shorter, I have NOT noticed an increased notchiness going into 3rd like some other have felt, though 1st is tougher to get into when moving. Quality is great, no transmission shaking through the shifter which i have heard some of the others have. I say get it. You won't be disappointed. Get it from Tokio on the org. He might give you a discount.

hope that helps!

I put in the Pacesetter about a year ago...paid about 35$ for it. it was alright for the money but if I had it all to do all over again I would have spent a little more and definitely gone for the B&M. When the 2 are sitting side by side the choice is obvious. The B&M just looks much more precise. btw having it adjustable is a nice feature if you actually plan on doing a lot of adjusting. its a PITA to take everything apart and screw the ball up or down. I would have been happy if it were just shorter and not adjustable but hey whatever blows your skirt up if you know what i mean.
