Motor Swap is COMPLETE!!!!

Thanks to Jay my car is up and running again.
The Skyline R34 had a perfect fit in my engine bay.
My Twin Turbo setup was actually a collaboration of Custom Maxima and Hal.
One turbo is installed but having "heating and cooling" issues and the other one hasn't even been shipped yet......

But for real, my engine was shot to hell so Jay threw in another VQ with only 60k on it. I can't believe how fast Jay and Amir got it done!!! I was there last night when they slapped the transmission and new motor back on, they are setting records all over the damn place!!!!!!!!

You mean ATTESSA AWD?? Yeah it can be RWD but it is an AWD system. But yeah it still won't work.

I would have loved to take some pics and post them but I didn't have a digi camera. There were 3 different motors on stands as well as 3 bad azz maximas there, (well mine's not that cool ) so it would have been a good episode of Maxster Garage. I had alot of fun doing the small amount of work I did. I have learned 2 things from this experience:
1. Never buy a car from a kid that doesn't maintain his ****. (duh!)
2. Sometimes it's a hell of a lot cheaper to replace than repair.....

I dont agree, anything CAN be done, it's just a matter of how much work, time and most of all money it's going to cost to do the project. You may be somewhat limited to what size can fit under the hood/ in engine bay, but even that can be altered. i.e, shaving wheel wells and getting a new hood, having part of the lower frame removed and reconfigured for a rwd set up... Anything is possible, but mostly not practicle or worth the cost.

With the amount of things going on, I highly doubt you wold have got pictures. That is the sweetest motor swap I ever done.

Anyone else with a blown motor, I am ready to swap 10 more

Sheeet dude. I'm just about done building my DriftKingMaxima. Using 5.7L out of a donor 99 F-body. Changing to a rear drive requires a couple snips here and there... firewall, rear seat, floor board, console, dashboard, trunk, radiator, gas tank, radiator, etc and voila!

Best thing is, I'm using the stock Max tranny! It's gonna be sweet.

The stupidity here scares me.

Hey Jay...do you know a place that has good prices on old VQs? Or how much I would have to pay you to install on for me?

I am about to buy one of these early tomorrow morning. I am starting to like this

Lurchdogs car had a nasty metal on metal noise coming from the engine. His mechanic told him he has bent valves. Why tear an engine apart and fix it. I am sure it would have took him way over two weeks to get parts shipped and installed. Labor would have ripped him a new one. Then he had over 100K. Just replace it with a lower mileage engine and call it the day.

Yo man, what's up. I appreciate your concern. I was amazed today when I drove it, the car is like TWICE as fast. I am dead serious, I mean it is like a different car man. My car has a habit of being much faster everytime it leaves Jay's house......
