Not modifying Max no more, saving for TL-S

I decided to stop modifying my car and save up for a better car with more luxury, speed, and better overall exterior and interior. My plans for the Max were, MEVI, JWT ECU, CAT BACK, MM EVO 5's, KYB AGX, H&Rs, STROBES and that's about it. I have done a lot of aeshtetics, and minor suspension, audio, and performance work for now. I realize that the money I will put into the Maxima will not justify just getting a brand new car, so I'm saving up for an '04 TL maybe '05 I plan on purchasing one by late December, if not Spring of '05. Ofcourse I'll keep the max, it's got 103K on the odo. now.

I'm not really into coupes unless you're talking about the CL55AMG, I like 4 door cars. The TL is really nice, I'll obviously modify it in 2-3 years, it's not worth modifying a car such as a Max. with 103K miles on it.

I said that 1 month ago (craig mack is my witness) and ive already put my new exhaust on order along with possibly purchasing an UDP, and ECU/MEVI (when the ECU for 99-ups come out). Oh, and im at 97,400+ miles on the odo...

I simply cannot stop modding. Ive sworn however, when i get those mods, i will stop.

Oh, BTW, the '04-up are not referred to as the TL-S or 3.2TL anymore, their strictly the Acura TL. You should know a lil more about the car you wanna buy

There are actually 3 G35's u can purchase, G35 Sedan, G35 Coupe, and introducing the G35X, nothing will beat the feeling of seeing a BMW 330I in ur rearview mirror, except for the fact that u are not seeing a 330I, yet a 330Xi, hahaha BMW's suck. GO NISSAN GO

I would get the G35 4 door then. It is RWD instead of FWD. That alone would make me think twice about the TL. The TL are nice cars though.

Just curious, why are you such a *****? Nowhere in thread, let alone his post, does it say 3.2 TL or TL-S except in your post. Even if it did who cares he's buyin'.

HarrisH nice choice. I like the styling. Let us know if you wanna sell some of your Maxima mods to help offset the cost of the new pimp ride.

Peace.

.....he does mention it in the Title of the thread. But like you said, who cares. Nice choice there Harrish. I always wanted to get a TL. Love the looks on the new generation as well as the previous.

First of all why would you make a SOHC VTEC V6, Those cars are slow, I smoked them when I was stock and I still smoke them, Your a blind

dont make me bring up more reasons why you shouldnt buy an "Gaycura"

6th max and the g35's are in that price range though..more HP for you buck...if you dont mind the slight torque steer on the max. whatever u get. make sure its a 6 speed.

The new TL is really nice dude, but the pride difference between your max and the TL is about 24K. Even if you get all the mods for your max it won't be as much and it would be way faster.
But if you are just going for their look, then good choice. Those new TLs do look sick.
Also remember that when Honda advertises HP they forget the TQ some where.
270 horsepower at 6200 rpm
238-lbs-ft of torque at 5000
The G35 is a few grand cheaper and its RWD. Thats sure going to be my next car

Haha, I like the name-calling.

I guess it's comforting to forget the resale value, premium-brand service, material quality, other features, when you're going faster in a straight line.

WOW, guys, a new tl is NICE
they are only TL's now, they come in 6 speed, have completley redesigned looks AND 270hp.
Plus i GUARANTEE they would outhandle any stock max ever! They even have an electronic dampening system now. Some ppl need to recognize this is a great new car. Nissan isnt Gods gift to automobiles, SERIOUSLY! I love my car, BUT GET A F*CKIN GRIP!

The acura TLs are nice, but i'd go for a 6speed G35 sedan like many other people here. Infiniti dealers treat you very well, unlike Nissan's horrible dealers.

hahahah. have fun with your new car. i'd take a g35 4 door any day over the TL. as one of my friends said when he drove a g35 for the 1st time..."when i accelerated it was the most amazing sound....i thought i was taking off in a spaceship!" he's odd like that but really why would you post this here. everyone is just going to flame you and tell you otherwise.

Man, i need the e39 540i sport and the G35C. How much more power will they put in fwd before they realize it's useless when you can't put the power to the ground. Think i'm wrong, go test drive the new Maxima and try launching that thing.
