B-pipe or rims?

what do you think would increase the 1/4 mile times of my car more?
a b-pipe or lighter rims? right now i am running the stock GXE steel wheels. i am not sure how much they weigh, but i imagine its alot.
i have an intake, y-pipe, and muffler. i think i am going to get a test pipe also.

if the rims, any suggestions?

go with light weight rims, i posted about this yesturday for someone else, i told them the same as i will tell u, rota's on ebay for 500 $ they weigh about 10 to 15 lbs depending on what size u get, compared to 40(im not sure of that at this point, people say it don't weigh that much but they are heavy)steel rims which i also have. but i also heard for every 100 lbs u loose of ur car, its .10 second faster 1/4 mile.

stocks are 15.5-16.5

every aditional pound of weight on the rims (after you multiply it by 4) needs to then be multiplied by 8. each pound of unsprung weight becomes 8 pounds of inertia...and will kill performance

duhhhh, lol. BTW how much would you expect to pay or paid for the straight pipe custom made?

I think my honey combs with tires weight around 50+ pounds. It's such a ***** to put them back on car when it's on lift.

the weight of tires doesnt range that expansively. large rims use a lower profile tire (to keep the same over all diameter) so those tires would be lighter, but the rims would probably be heavier (hence, bigger)

rims...you don't get all that much gain from a b-pipe. I got a quote from a guy to custom pipe 2.5" all the way from the cat back to the muffler, with a resonator, and it was only like $50. That is a lot cheaper than rims. However, if that is the case, just get both!

It is not mandrel bent, but you only lose about a 1/4" in the bend. If you do straight, you lose none. That is what they guy told me about the price. I don't know what you guys got it for. I went to see him yesterday...that was not over the phone.
