My review of the B&M STS......

Well The first 3 days I kinda hated the thing. It was pretty hard to find the gears, but after some driving I got really used to it. I now love the way it feels when I shift from 1-2 and from 3-4. The gears seem to be so close to each other and the time that takes me to shift them is just amazing.

The shifter it self its made of a very good quality material, it feels pretty heavy, so I'm pretty sure I won't brake it like some people have brake their ebay shifters.

The feel is very notchy, but the gears go in very smooth without need of excessive force. Specially the ones I describe before ^ ^. I really like it and think it was worth the money.
I had to use my stock **** because the one that comes with the sifter is a little ugly. (in my Opinion)

Installation was also very easy. Even though is was my first shifter install. It pretty straight forward. Just make sure you remove your catalytic converted for much more space to work on it. I tried to do it by just removing it from the B-Pipe and it almost seemed impossible.

Here are some pics I took. I couldn't get any pics of before the install because my friend had my digital camera, but you guys should get an idea of how short it is

Wow. Nice and short huh?? Only problem I've heard with this shifter and from what I can see from the pictures, is it moves all of the throws forward about an inch or more. It looks like 4th gear with the B&M is where neutral would be stock. How much do you have to stretch your arm to hit 3rd and 5th gear??

Yeah that was one of the things I didn't like at first. It seemed as if I had to get out oh my sit just to shift. I guess people with longer arms won't have that problem. I'm 5,6" and my arms are not very long, but I got used to that now and don't think its that bad at all.

I was really thinking about putting my stocker back on, but I just love the feeling of this sts.

anyone compare the B&M to a shortened stock shifter? You said you had to remove the bpipe and what not. I think i'll just cut the stock shifter and put a momo on it.

I didn't remove the cat or any other kind of piping to get to mine.

I love mine too.

I didn't like the forward design of the top 3 gears but if you think about it it is a lot easier going from 2-3 when 2 is perfectly vertical.

Here is my post after I did the install...with before/after pics.

My B&M shifter really smoothed out 2-3 weeks in. Buttery now with just a hint of notchiness in 2-3. Not nearly as bad as prior reviews have stated. I love the feel and the quickness of the shifts, especially, 1-2, 3-4. I just moved my seat up one notch and it feels so much sportier! Plus no more reaching for the shifter. Perfect now. Great quality too!
