Snow Trouble...please Help!!!

Today I was driving, and lost control of my car, and hit a pile of snow about 4 feet high, no body damage was done, but my steering now pulls to the right really hard, and the wheel is leaning out. Does anyone know what the problem could be, and how much it would cost.

Thanks for any help,

Sean

If the tire is sticking out then it sounds like something is bent and needs to be replaced. Is it the front or rear tire that's sticking out?

It is the front right tire, its not sticking out, its leaning very very very little outwards, but when my front left tire is straight, the right tire is a little crooked.

You probably bent a suspension component. (control arm?)

Have the car looked at by an alignment shop.

I am going to do that tomorrow, how much do you think it would run to buy the control arm and get it installed, so I do not get ripped off by the mechanic.

Thanks

Definitely try and find a good private mechanic if you need the control-arm. The Stealership will only sell you the entire assembly, even if all you need is a new bushing or ball-joint.

There's a lot of aftermarket stuff out there, so it will definitely be worth it to shop around.

From your description it sounds like you could also have an axle problem? Maybe the bearing was also knocked out of line? How does it drive?? A good shop should be able to diagnose

Control arms are pretty sturdy. It could be a tierod or something too. Just get it up on a lift at an alignment shop to take a look around.
