just wondering about how much paint (base color) i would need to spray my entire car(97 max with skyline kit-urethane)? would a gallon cover it nicely? what about how much clear coat i would need and how many coats of clear would u suggest? and im also wondering what is a decent price on paint? i found a shop who will sell me a gallon of urethane paint for 100$ and then 40$ for the activator

 

Why didn't you just ask the shop how much paint you'll need?

 

Just ask the shop-have u had experience on doing this on your own? Takes ***** and experience to do a nice job.

 

its not a shop thats doing the work for me but a friend of mine who works for the shop is spraying it for me while his boss is out of town. i just havent asked him how much i will need yet-hes hard to get ahold of, so i figured i'd ask on here real quick for some ideas.so what about price- does everyone think thats a decent price for urethane paint?

 

hmmm don't know the answer...but google might help with finding out.

 

just make sure he knows what he's doing. otherwise, your car will look like pure dookie. fyi, a good paint job can be found from 1000-5000. I got mine for 1000.

 

Wow, am I the only one that finds this funny. Your using the shop paint booth while the boss is gone. Hope nothing catches on fire and then you all go to jail.
