Best Prices on NGK Plats or coppers...

Went to the ILL advanced auto in my area, My plugs need to be changed BAD...
Jim bob behind the counter tells me: "Ohhh, you want NGK's? We have lots of other plugs... We can't even get Coppers, but we can get the platinums, but i will have to order them... That'll be 11 Dollars a PLUG...
FUCK That!
I straight Up walked out...
I have been checking for some good prices..
I started with the obvious.. www.sparkplugs.com
it was like 16 bucks for all 6 plugs, with 9 dollars shipping... Seems better than the 65$ the Dunce caps at Advanced want to charge, but still looking for better if its out there...

Any body found em for cheaper?

I found NGK coppers for $1.99 at Checker auto. Which may be known as Kragen or Schucks in your area. Oh yeah..and if you did find the plats for $3, let us all know. I think Advanced auto now owns the checker/kragen/schuck's chain, but they may have different inventories.

Not really, I've heard some negative things about them. I'd stay with plats or copps

Does anyone know if NGK double platinum performs any differently than NGK GP platinum?

I just replaced my autolite platinums after about eight months of use, still good and still using newer autolites. I don't think your going to get any kind of gain by going copper and the ngk's isn't going to make any difference.

I think if your paying more than two dollars a plug then your just getting ripped.

I purchased a set this weekend at R&S Strauss. I asked for a 97 Altima and they're the same as you guys said, BKR5E-11 for $1.59 each. To make things easier, instead of asking them for that number, ask for the NGK stock number, 6953. Thats the number they keep in inventory.
