Bushings for Front SB

http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaSwayBars

They suggest getting Front SB bushings when you get a RSB for more neutral handling. I went to http://performance.gearheadracingparts.com/ and looked up the parts.
FRONT SWAY BAR BUSHINGS SET $6.41
CONTROL ARM BUSHINGS SET FRONT $32.18

So... I'm not sure what to get... does the Control Arm Set include the Front SB bushings? thnx

No, the control arm bushing set only includes bushings for the control arms...

I got 2 swaybar bushings and 4 sway bar end link bushings (Energy Suspension polyeurethane) for $11 + shipping from suspension.com. Scroll about half way down this page http://www.suspension.com/nissancars.htm. Hope that helps.

Just want to make sure this is what you ordered:
7-5118 (20mm)
$ 7.00

4803-G
endlink grommets only, 4 required. front sway bar only.
$1.00 each

Are they difficult to install?
thanks

That's correct, 7-5118 comes with 2 bushings, and order 4 4803-G. Installation was not difficult. I would recommend buying some penetrating oil for the nut that holds on the end link bushings. Put plenty on there, and let it soak in for a while, also a good idea to have a breaker bar just in case they are stubborn. The sway bar bushings come with lube, the end link bushings do not require any. Torque the end link nut to 144-192 in-lbs(according to Haynes manual) once the new bushings are installed. Other than that, installation is rather easy.

So what were your impressions when the bushings were installed?

I would like to know what your impressions are as well. From what I understand they tighten up the front a bit and like said above counter the rear sway bar for more neutral handling.

But I also read somewhere that they make vibrations come through the car much more sharply.

Can anyone speak to those points?

TIA.

I still haven't installed them yet. Unfortunately
But I'm going to do it when spring break starts this weekend.

I just put the rear sway bar on, along with a y-pipe, and they're great, but the sway bar is wasted on Raleigh's lack of twisty roads. I'm going to log many hours of time with the rear sway bar when I get back to the good ol' mountians Western North Carolina. That way I can really test the car, and I'll have a feel for how the RSB affects handling. After that, I'll install the bushings, and will be able to better describe the change (if any) that they give. I'll keep you guys posted.
