For about the past month my engine temperature usually stays close to the colder side. It rarely goes past that except once in awhile it'll go up to maybe a quarter of the way up but never gets to the middle. The heat in the car does take a lot longer to warm up to. I think i'm going to have to replace the thermostat, but just wanted some input in case it may be another problem or a combination of things. thanks

 

Sounds like a faulty (stuck open) thermostat to me. Replace it and see...they're only a few $$.

 

that would be a good bet. I would try that first.
