Engine light on

Engine light came on over the weekend, so I called the dealer and they wanted 80 bucks just to hook it up. So i took it to my mechanic and he did it for free, got the code P013813 said it was the O2 sensor B1 S2 High Volt. Told be its the sensor in the back, so the question is do they go out often or what can cause it all i got is intake and muffler. The dealer wants 150 bucks just for the sensor what do you guys recommend is it ok to buy a aftermarket one or not?
Thanks

P013813 is a code?

Here's the location of the sensors: http://www.courtesyparts.com/A32_O2-sensors.html
Cheapest place to buy: http://www.oxygensensors.com (get the OEM type so it's plug and play)
