Idle problem..
Idle problem..
Whenever im at a light (car is fully warmed up) and im sitting there in drive, sometimes the idle increases from 600 rpm or so, to around 800 or 900. It doesnt feel normal, so Ill usually keep it in Neutral if its a long light, I dont want to do damage to the torque converter, cause it feels like too much pressure on it. Could this be a sign of the failing Coil packs in the 99s? I still get that knock feeling sometimes at lights.
It might sound dumb, but I dont think its normal for the car to be idleing at 900rpm when its fully stopped. It usually idles around 600rpm.

[when car is warmed up]
when i'm in P or N, my idle = 800rpm ish
when i'm in D, my idle = 700rpm ish
[when car is cold]
when i'm in P or N, my idle = 100rpm ish

my car runs fine, no problem... IMO i don't think it's a big deal.
