On the new 5 Series Bimmers, the headlights turn when you turn.

they are called adaptive headlights and lots of the new luxury vehicles (Lexus 430, 5 and 7 series bimmer, porsches, not sure of benzes or audi's) can come with them. i saw a cool demonstration on bmw's website of how they work

acually no that is notr what it is.....it is much simpler.....like on the 2000 - 2001 altima's. then you put the turn signal on the corner light get really bright to light up that side of the road you are turning. it should nto be to tarrably exspencive.

ahhh, thats for old people!!!!

Actually the 95-96 Maxs have that feature. It lights the corner lamp brighter when you have that turn signal engaged...

I personally HATE that feature and im so glad nissan did away with it on the 97-ups

You mean the corner light "rewire"? You just cut one of the nubs off the bulbs off with a nail clipper...

Why do you not like that feature. I find it very benificial when turning on to dark roads. With tint turning like this is very difficult. But you don't have to worry about curbing a rim so its not an issue for you.

Saabs and G35 also have adaptive headlights. They also go up and down. Its really cool when I drive our Saab. I love the way the lights come up and realign every time you start. How durable you guys think these things are? I don't trust them although it is a cool feature. This would require two motors per projector, so thats four more motors that could break. Lets just do away with the motors; they should move by magic.

.

Definately driven one with the feature and i didnt even really notice it, much less did it help me...

Plus it looks odd when you see another car with its signal on and one corner light brighter, just doesnt look right.

Maxima's over here come stock with that feature (not the swively light thing :P). Mine has a light right on the bottom corner of each side of the bumper. Has come in handy a few times, was turning into a road once and there was a large object that I probably would have run over had I not seen it before turning with the light. Handy for parking in the dark as well for seeing how close the curb is
