Drop resistor
Drop resistor
Hey i am new here at the org and i have read most of the faq's, but since i am not a donating memeber i can not search the whole forum. Any way i am sorry if this question has been asked be4 but o well. If do the drop resistor mod (which i am guessing you just unhook the plug from under the hood) does it reduce the life of you automatic transmission? Sorry if it has been asked be4 but thanks for the info.

even better would be a switch in your consol to activate another switch which you place under your throttle body plate positioner(dont know the term for it) to activate only when you are flooring it (at the max point of throttle) That would allow you to turn the mod on and off and then even further turn it on only when at full line pressure (WOT) because thats the best time to shift with 100% pressure or else you'll have a jerky **** auto tragic tranny that shifts hard all the time, which would probably kill it in a matter of weeks if not days?[/QUOTE]
Has anybody ever done this double switch idea? If not, it seems to be a great way to bypass most of the inherent problems with the drop mod.
