HELP QUICK! Need help with Indiglo Gauges!
I have a 95 GXE and I'm putting in Silver Reverse Indiglo Gauges. I have a couple questions...
1) When I take the screws out of the gauges themselves can I drill holes in the new gauges to secure them in?
2) On the maximadriver.com write up it said my needles won't light up anymore because I removed the bulbs, even if I color the needle in red, how will I see it at night. NEED SERIOUS HELP ON THIS ONE!
Please help, thanks guys!
3) What color is the wire on the dimmer switch that I use the power for, is it blue and green on a 95 GXE?

some say you shouldn't screw through it because it may damage them, but i'm not sure on that.
just use double sided scotch tape to secure them, and super glue. make sure they're down flush.
the needle will still show of course cuz the rest of the gauge is glowing, it will be dark. when i had mine way back when, i left two bulbs in so the needles would still light up, i'd recomend you do the same.

try superglue on the clear plastic thing and press the gauge down flat and hold it until it bonds. you could try screws but they might look weird being a dark spot and it could make some of the light on the circuit go out. i never screwed mine in and the glue and double sided tape seemed to work after a while. you're gonna want it as flat as possible of course otherwise your needles will rub. g'luck

As long as you have the reverse indiglo gauges WITHOUT the circle in the middle you can drill a hole and screw through them. That is how mine are attached. The reason the needles don't light up from that howto is because they took the bulbs out and ran the wires through the holes. I wanted my needles to still light up so I drilled new holes in the white housing behind the gauges to run the wires through.

holes = bad idea...I didn't want to damage that stuff on the back. My dad gave me a good idea, he said to file the holes that the bulbs go into so that we can have all of the bulbs in there. I think itll go good. We got one filed down and 1 more to go.

i drilled holes not problem it was easy. and i have lighted needles and everyting with hyper white behind them.
if th needles do not light up you still can see them cause you see a black needle over the gaguge. you can see it really good. i still wanted mine to light up though.
yesn for power connect the red wire to the blue wire with black tracer.
no you canot drill new holes in the gagues you might short them out or whatever. just use doubles sided tape and when i did what use clear tape and put little peices on the edges of gagues tapoig them to the existing gauges i had.
the install is very easy

Hey Will, I just got done with my indeglo gauges 15 minutes ago. I did the hole and screw method into the indeglo gauges. No issues with stickage of needles or anything. It was a long tedious job though. Who did you purchase your gauges from. I got mine from Southwest. It came with a little extra amp gauge and said hyper on them.
