Tranny Question...

Sometime this spring I am gonna need to replace my throwout bearing, Im planning on doing the clutch and all that since it wil all be apart, maybe a good time to replace the tranny too. I have a 97 se 5 spd with 150k on her. Tranny is obviously somewhat weak. Since its gonna be all apart I figured it would be good Idea to go all out, cannot afford another car at the moment, and willing to drop some money on taking care of this issue and imporving the car. Know where i might find some info on used or rebuilt tranny's for sale???

wouldnt it be cheaper just to overhaul your current one? If your going to buy a whole new tranny, try to find an Infiniti I30 one since it has LSD, you will also need a new drivers side axle if you go with the I30 one

You're going to replace your throwout bearing? How did you come to the conclusion that you need a new throwout bearing?

And why would you assume your transmission has problems if your throwout bearing is bad?

I think you meant to say differential bearing?
