CEL question --- please help

I tried looking thru the sticky threads and FAQ but found nothing. My CEL came on, but when I took it to AutoZone and had it checked, it didn't throw any codes. What does that mean? Thanks for the help.

Felix

i tried it, but it didn't work. it says to twist it clockwise till it stops, then counter-clockwise, but mine never stopped. either way i twist it, it just keeps going. it definetly reset the CEL, but I wonder if it will come back.

IF they checked the code correctly, then they would at least get P0000
GO back and let them do it again, or go to another autozone

Well you said you reset your ecu, wait to see if a code comes back. Then take to autozone and see what it says

Ok, so I went to a different AutoZone today. It gave me the code P0150. This code doesn't even exist right? Dude there said it's the o2 sensor 1 in bank 2. Can someone verify this? Thanks.

P0150 - 0308
0308
Diagnostic Trouble Code 0308 points to a problem with the Engine Control Module Closed Loop Logic for the Right Bank. The right cylinder bank is also called the rear bank. It is cylinders 1,3,5.

DTC 0308 is detected when the closed loop control function for the right bank does not operate even when the vehicle conditions meet the criteria (engine at normal operating temperature, etc.). Possible causes include ...
- Harness or connectors (The sensor circuit is open or shorted.)
- a defective Front Heated Oxygen Sensor sensing element.
- a defective Front Heated Oxygen Sensor heater.

I will have all PXXXX conversions soon.

because life sucks. they build the cars so they're too damn hard to get at the parts so you ahve to take it to the dealer and have them charge an arm and a leg. it took me forever to get at that o2, if its even the right one. im gonna pick up a chilton manual though, so maybe ill figure it out
