Help! My car is leaking oil and I can't find the leak
I can't find the oil leak. I thought it was the Oil sender switch but I changed that last year from Wells and now I see drops of what looks like oil on the floor. I taped bounty everywhere and will look in a few hours around where its coming from but for now I'm lost. Any ideas appreciated. thanks.

While the car is cold, wash the underside and where you think its leaking down at a high-pressure washateria (diy car wash). Do not wash a hot engine, may cause block to crack.
Then check again.
If you still have trouble finding the leak, you may try UV dye. A good quality uv lamp will cost you $40, and the dye will cost you $6 or so for 2-4 treatments. The UV dye will illuminate where the leak is coming from.
Or...you can take it to pep boys, and they charge $25 to put the dye in, and diagnose where the leak is coming from. I've never tried them for that, but I considered it considering the DIY cost. Tho I figure if I invest now, I can UV dye any power steering or tranny leaks easily in the future. The uv dye is not for brake lines (atleast the one i got).
