Limited Slip Differential
Limited Slip Differential
I have to replace the half shafts on my 95 but I'm not sure if I have LSD or not. Does anyone know how I can find out without disassembling the axle so I can order the correct part?
I'm sorry if this was asked before but I can't search the forum for some reason.

Infiniti I30 has vLSD, not the 95 Max
Look at this and tell me what it says for #8 and #9 on your VID plate http://forums.maxima.org/showpost.ph...3&postcount=16

the only way u can check if u have a vlsd in ur tranny with out looking at the vin is to lift on side or one tire off the ground and try spinning it with the other tire on the oposite side on the ground.. and the vlsd would let the tire spin but eventualy it will lock up tighter and tigther...that because as ur spining the tire the clutches inside grip and as they grip they get hot and expand which makes the tire lock up, that's what a vlsd is basicly. it eather has small clutches inside or its a silicone type liquid and the silicone would expand also as its gets hotter with the blades spinning in it, but im not sure what the i30 vlsd has. sorry if i didn't make my statement clear i did the best i could and now i think i need to get get some sleep....i've bin up for the last couple of days.
