Possible to convert trunk to struts?

Hey,
Just wondering if anyone has ever tried to make their trunk work on a strut system kinda like our hoods. It'd save a lot of trunk room...I know, they're big enough...but I kinda like the idea of struts their. Thanks!

well, just wondering, how much would this cost? would it just be the cost of the pneumatic struts and drilling some holes, or a lot more involved then that?

I'm guessing just the cost of the struts... but I'm just not sure how that would work. I mean, would it open in the same manner or what?

I would rather see the hood be converted to a regular rod support because those struts always go out.
