Splash Guards

Splash Guards
After getting new tires and rims (17" G35 sport rims w/ Goodyear Eagle GS-D) I am experiencing alot of interior noise due to the kick up of sand. I was wondering if anyone has splash guards on their maxima and how much if any it helps w/ sand noise. I didnt have as much of a problem w/ my factory se rims and tires. Did anyone ever dynomat the wheel wells, i was wondering if this would also help. Thanks.

The mud flaps will keep your rockers and the bottom of your door from being sand blasted. The noise from your sticky tires throwing road debri up into your wheel wells isn't going to go away. I had the same issue with a set of Dunlop SP8000 tires.

mud flap will help keep your bodys paint from rock chips but the noise is mainly coming from the rocks hitting the plastic shielding around the wheel trim. hehee.. stock splash guards look good on a 4th gen anyways
sticky tires = more noise

That's what I was thinking (dynomat). I would doubt anyone has tried this, nor have I seen anyone post anything like this. Tho the dynomat/simliar material would clamp down on general noise, and absorb and deflect sand particles since it's soft material.
And since dynomat is a soft material, I'd probably use some self-tapping screws through that wheel wheel, with large 1 inch plastic or metal washers. I'd use some brake cleaner on the wheel well, then adhesive to attach any type of dynomat material and use the screws to make sure that dynomat won't fall off. It sounds like a simple 3 hour project (locating, buying materials, fitting, cutting, installing).
The only caveat, is wear time. How long will the dynomat stuff hold up, since it would be mounted externally?
