Can someone help me find the link to the code thing? It just came on and I'm at just over 75K miles. What could my problem be? It's running fine as far as I can tell. Just had the oil changed.

You will find instructions to do a DTC readout and reset
the Check Engine light at:
http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecu.html

The DTC "translations" are found at:
http://vbxmaxima.8m.com/ecudecoder.html

Now I'm worried

The light was on for 2 days and before I could check the code, it's shut itself off.

Should I be worried?

It is normal for some problems to "go away". The loose fuel cap code is an example.

Do a Diagnostic Trouble Code readout. The codes may still be accessible.

Re: Don't worry, be happy!

Even though the light is off, the code should be available for a certain amount of ignition key turns. I think the ecu will store the code for about 50 turns of the ignition key. After that, if it doesn't see the same error code, it will erase it. I'm not too sure what the exact # of key turns clears the memory though. Just run the diagnostic asap to make sure you can still get it for future reference.

Thank you, guys. I will check it over the weekend. I only start the machine twice or three times a day, so I should be all set. I'll check it over the weekend.
