Tokico Drop vs. H&R plus Illuminas

i need my drop real bad...lol...my max still looks like a pathfinder.. i already have H&R drop spring...i wanna get the illuminas to make my set complete.

now i know tokico has the drop springs now in a package with the illuminas on custommaxima.com. i heard that the tokico springs actually sit a little bit lower after tested. i want to know what the experience has been with the full tokico set up by fellow drivers. besides that i would really like to hear from those that got rid of h&r's and went to the tokico drop.

if the tokico set up is whats hot i will be selling the h&r drop...i bought it used from my boy and it was driven for 8,000 miles

Full Tokico Kit installed, it is far better than stock, and rides almost the same quality as Eibach Springs.

my whole thing is the softness of the ride. that is why i was going to pair h&r with illuminas. so i guess since the H&R's are softer than the Eibach, then the Tokico drop is harsher than h&r

H&R drop

H&R drop (1.4" front 1.3" rear) will be the most like stock, and very comfortable. But if you want a more aggressive drop go with the tokico setup.

The springs and Illumina struts are only $599 from Custom Maxima, which is only $100 more than the struts alone. If it were me, I would get the kit and compare the H&R to the Tokico springs. Sell the ones you don't like. I'm sure you can sell the springs for what you have in them.

Its advertised as 1.5F, 1.3R.. but it seems to be a little lower than that.

You can dial in your stiffness, but with the Tokico Springs your best bet would be to set it at 3 in the front and 4 in the rear. It is very firm for those exciting highway loops, but comfortable for average speed driving.

gtr_rider, I'm about to get a set of Tokico Illumina's and H&Rs, why would you set the rears to a higher stiffness than the fronts?
