I was driving around the campus at a local college(ICC if your from peoria IL) and I was just minding my own business and all of the sudden I hear a horn and then I'm getting clipped by an Oldsmobile Skylark. The guy stops and gets out, I do the same. I make sure everyone is ok and go back to my car to get my phone to call the campus cops. During all this the guy takes off.
The guy was very concerned about me having insurance, which makes me think He didn't have any. The best part of the deal is that I'm at fault. I have no Idea how, but the cop put me at fault. I'm going to try to get parts rounded up and have a bodyshop here fix it. I took some pics, they are kind of crappy but you'll get the idea.

Did the other guy take off before the police report was filed or if they even got there? How the fock is it your fault if he sped off? i dont know about you, but Campus cops are like rental cops...i HIGHLY suggest a lawyer.

 

Yeah, the guy took off before the cops got there. I have no Idea how I'm at fault. The cop told me that if I decide to fix it myself, he'll rip up the report so my insurance won't go up.

 

..like i said, campus police=rent-a-cop. Maybe you should talk to the real police and maybe get a second opinion...see a lawyer and see what you can do. In PA, if the other party leaves the scene, it is automatically their fault. I mean, think about it. Why else would they run?

 

I'm going to talk to the real police Tomorrow after I talk to the Rent a cops again. Hopefully they will put him at fault, considering it was his fault in the first place...

 

ya not **** .. some idiot did that 2 my dad when he was drivin my car and they drove off too the cops wern't involved by my dad is an idiot.. i got the fender off ebay for cheap but that bumper i dunno crazy *** drivers

if someome drives off from an accident scene its considered a hit-and-run and that person is in deep **** now. how the *** did the rent-a-cop determine whose fault it was if you were the only one at the scene? were there any winesses? did you get the other guys plates before he took off? WTF?

go talk to the real police if you want your insurence to pay for this... good luck with everything

 

Well they are considering my brother my witness since he was with me. Yes, I got the make, model and Plates of the car. I have to talk to the toy cops again today then the real cops, then the body shop. its going to be a fun filled day.
