Changed the Knock Sensor Yesterday
My car has been trowing 03 04 Knock sensor code for some time now and I didnt think it would really make that big of a deal but I talked to my friend matt (96 sleeper) and he said that it makes a pretty big differance so I took his advice and changed it and I could tell the diffrence right away and it is so much faster than I remember it being before maybe its just because I just got used to the way it was but anyway I would like to recomend to everyone that has a bad knock sensor to change it as soon as funds become available to you cause your max will feel alot meaner
yea it makes a good 20WHP+- difference. look at my sig, my dyno went like sh*t with ghost 0304. SXN made 146WHP stock on his auto. nine7-gxe with intake and y-pipe made 16xWHP on his auto. and with all my mods i made 139WHP w/ ghost 0304. therefore it does makes a BIG difference.
oh man, i changed mine last weekend, made a huge.....HUGE difference is speed, power, and acceleration. and i guess i was one of the lucky people......got NO cuts and didnt need to remove the manifold. pretty easy job with the right tools
I took one of a car at a salvage yard and I didnt care if I messed that car up so I just moved everything out of the way, but I still was cut up pretty bad but it was worth it as far as changing it on your car you just got to either have small hands or find a friend that does

try duct tape on your hands, protected mine from getting cut, line it on your fingers or wahtever cuz the manifold "razors" wont really cut through the tape, youll feel a little pain but it wont cut you. do wahtever motorvate.ca says, with gloves you cant feel anything but with duct tape on the back of your hand youll be able to feel the bolt and hole
i think i bought the car wiht a bad sensor and so when i learned how to check the ECU, i changed it a few days after, boy, tires chirp now sooo much more fun to drive now
