Changed the Knock Sensor Yesterday

My car has been trowing 03 04 Knock sensor code for some time now and I didnt think it would really make that big of a deal but I talked to my friend matt (96 sleeper) and he said that it makes a pretty big differance so I took his advice and changed it and I could tell the diffrence right away and it is so much faster than I remember it being before maybe its just because I just got used to the way it was but anyway I would like to recomend to everyone that has a bad knock sensor to change it as soon as funds become available to you cause your max will feel alot meaner

Yeah that little knock sensor isn't very nice, it has a tendancy to retard timing to correct for the supposed detonation.

Same thing happened to me. After replacing the Knock Sensor I could feel the difference , especially after beating the crap out of a turbo mustang which beat me before changing the knock snsor

yea it makes a good 20WHP+- difference. look at my sig, my dyno went like sh*t with ghost 0304. SXN made 146WHP stock on his auto. nine7-gxe with intake and y-pipe made 16xWHP on his auto. and with all my mods i made 139WHP w/ ghost 0304. therefore it does makes a BIG difference.

I took one of a car at a salvage yard and I didnt care if I messed that car up so I just moved everything out of the way, but I still was cut up pretty bad but it was worth it as far as changing it on your car you just got to either have small hands or find a friend that does

Is it worth changing even if you do not have the 0304 code comming up? Have about 60 000 miles on the car.

when i had mine done, it made the car feel like the day i got it. Definitly worth every penny i spent on having it done.
