Need helping takin pin stripes off

I got gold pin stripes on my car and I wanna take them off. Some people have told me to use a head gun to take it off, but it looks like there a metal strip underneath the colored stripe. Has anyone done or had this problem, cause I'm confused and need some help! Check my sig and page for pics of my car if you wanna see the pin stripe, but I don't have any close ups, I can take some if you guys need them.

They should just peel off, there might be a clear top layer over the colored pin stripe that might come off as well.

My friend's '96 maxima had the same strips. We just started to peel them off by hand. One side came off real easy, but the other side was hell. We peeled off the top layer and used GOO GONE to take off the glue. Its a long process that took about 3 hours, but it works.
You could use the heat gun to heat the glue so that it comes off a little easier
