Anyone know what size led will work with the window switch led mod??
Im looking for one that I can get from radioshack or some other hobby store. Dont want to order them!!

U must be a friend of Diggs..

to answer your question...pretty much anyone from the shack will fit...people order them to get the brighter ones...hence the only real reason to do the modification.

do not go to radio shack, it's a complete rip off and not worth the time to do if you go that route. Get it on ebay, it's free shipping. Just have patience.

You'll need 3mm LED's around 10 or more in case you fork up

I had 3.7v 30mA and 260mcd on a minute ago and when I turned on the light it blinked and went off!! I took it back apart and noticed that the led was fried!!! everything still works from what I can see but I dont want to mess up again! someone please just give me the correct size

Yeah im a close friend of Diggs!! Thanks for the help nupe. I guess I will just have to order them off ebay. Would 3.5volts work fine?

can anyone tell me why the led got fried?? Does it have to be 3volts?? or can it more?? Whats the deal!!

most Leds work between 1.7 Vdc - 2.2 Vdc...so 3 volts is entirely too much. But as far as replacing the LEDs in the switches, there shouldn't be a problem...unless you got the crappy ones from the shack...the ones worthwhile may cost about $1 a piece retail. Just order them from flea-bay and you'll be fine!
