First time hitting that I let my tank to so far as the light coming on.

How many miles can i got when the light is on?

 

should have 2.5 gallons left which would be <50 miles.

 

typically when your gas light comes on you have 3 gallons left so i would say about 60 miles but, but i would by no means push it anywhere near this far, you can suck up crap off the bottom of your gas tank, it can ruin your fuel pump and if your gas tank isnt sealed, running your car low can allow water to condense in your tank and you will suck up water with your gas

 

eh win I hit "E" that means get yo a$$ to a gas station A.S.A.P... no more flooring

 

Once my light comes on SOLID I go at least another 40 miles and have never had problems.

 

you can reenact the seinfeld episode where kramer takes the car out of the dealership to the testdrive and see how far he can go with the light on. hilarious

 

i've done 40+ miles when the light was solid but when I floor it, it starts dying on me. . . There are days where the light is starting to come on while driving to work...i say to myself I'll fill it up after work & then i'm too lazy (just wanna get home) . . . for my last 5 miles of the ride home I freak out & keep waiting till it dies....NEVER DID. . .
