Question about 0203

yesterday i installed a bomz cai and when i got done the check engine soon light came on and i checked it and it said 0203 so i reset it thinking it was because i changed my intake but then today while driving my rpms were crazy when ever i would brake the rpms would drop to 500 and then rise a little to 750 i was wondering how long i could drive with the throttle position switch broken and if that is what it is??

thanks
