adjusting the ebrake...

is it me or are maxima ebrakes weak? i was trying to do a spin turn earlier, but the rears would not lock to my satisfaction. i suppose i'd have to transfer the weight better in order to get it to lock easily. on all the other cars i've driven, the rear wheels can lock even from a constant speed (no weight transfer). i don't understand. can the ebrake be made to be more responsive on the 4th gen?

possible causes:
your rear caliper(s) are seized,
your ebrake cable(s) are seized

thanks for the update. i have not yet been underneath the car to investigate possible damage. so far i don't think it has been. my ebrake works fine in terms of normal function. what i want to do is adjust it (if possible) so it will provide greater braking force in order to lock up the rears easier should i want to do that. not a big deal since i don't bust out spin turns very often.
