braking problem

ok so latly when i brake on the highway my car shakes like crazy! then today when starting out and stopping my car is making an incredible screeching noise almost like bare metal on metal....99% sure my pads are done(i got a horrible brake job dont like 6 months ago and its till haunting me)

so if it is the brakes any suggestions on a good upgrade...im looking for a performance pad that will last stay quiet and not dust 2 much.
