I bought some fog lights for my 97 from Courtesy and installed them today. I turned them on and only one fog light came on. I checked the connection and it was fine so I am assuming that the bulb is bad. I followed the instructions on how to change the bulb in the installation booklet but I dont see a bulb. What do I do after I take the round black circular cover off? Anyone know what kind of bulb it takes? Thanks.

I think you just turn that black cover CCW, and it should come off.

Yes, you do turn the black cover but there is one more step. You have to remove this pin and then the bulb comes out. Thats not my problem anymore. I put the fog light that was working into the side that wasn't working and it also did not work. So that mean something is wrong with the wiring harness. The car has been in a minor accident in the front corner and I bet the body shop didn't connect that harness back when the fixed it because at the time I didn't have fog lights. What should I do now? I doubt the body shop will do anything about it. Should I take it to the Nissan dealership? I could try and independent place that could do it? Any ideas?

For some strange reason, Maxima's (not all of em) have this problem with accepting aftermarket foglight bulbs. Mainly high wattage bulbs. I don't think anyone's figured out why.

I didn't use aftermarket. These are stock fog lights.
