Yeah, but like a battery (well, not exactly like one .. in rough theory), a capacitor will still need to be recharged after it's drained. Which means, instead of just your amp sucking down juice from your power supply, you have a capacitor sucking it down too. Hence, Alternator/battery upgrades are better.

A yellow top recharges faster, and holds more juice than a conventional battery. I could really tell the difference, but my battery was on it's last legs.. The car started quicker, dimmed less, and gave a little more power (to the electronics =P it didn't go any faster heh)
