Motivational Strut Mounts
Motivational Strut Mounts
I am planning on getting the tokico illuminas with progress springs for my 97 se with stock wheels next week. Do you guys think that it is necessary to get the motivational strut mounts or is the drop not big enough to worry about bottoming out? Also I would rather get the teins s 2.2f/1.6r but I am thinking that they will definitely bottom out all around. If anyone has any information please let me know.

So you havent tried them...so you dont really know much about how well they work...
Is that what you're saying?

I've been in my car on Eibachs with them and without, and Intrax without them, you will definately bottom out with 2+ people riding in your rear seat. You can't really feel it bottom out from the front seat, but once you ride in the back, you'll notice it quite a bit. I've had times when I was in the back and had so little suspension travel I actually hit my head on the ceiling with my seatbelt on (on Intrax). With uncut rear bumpstops on Eibachs, there is only about 1-1.5 inches of suspension travel left, once you start putting people back there, that drops to about .75 - .50.
I highly highly recommend this mod.
