Buzzing/Rattling Noise from shifter area after y-pipe install

Well after, I installed my Warpspeed y-pipe, I've been getting this noise that seems to be a mix of buzzing and rattling comming from my shifter area. It does nto happen all the time, it comes and goes, usually occurs when I press the gas a lot more than normal. The noise stays there for about 2 seconds, and then goes away till I press the gas, again, what could this be? I'm assuming that right under the shifter area is the flex section of the y-pipe. Is this normal? Ive had my pipe on for a week, but the car hasnt been driven much due to some other problems. Let me know, thanks

Most likley its the heatshield rattling. Bring it to a exhaust place or check yourself to see if its rubbing anywhere.

i can tell ya i had that EXACT same problem. rattled at about 3000 RPM. To fix it...go have fun in your max! Go on some nice back roads, and haul! After I did that, the flex section was nicely broken in. I raced around on back roads w/ my roomate in his Pontiac GTP for about 10-15 minutes. That solved it. That was the most fun fixing my car I've ever had! Good luck!

Thanks for the advice guys, I guess I havent "broken" int eh y-pipe enough, but then again I havent had enough time to do so, cause of my radiator/water outlet problems. Once thats finished, I'm going to drive teh heck out of it. Also, I dont think its the heatshield because I took it off (considering its the one on the cat, right after the ypipe right?). So the heatshield isnt the problem. One mroe thing, how "hard" did you guys drive your cars? And for how long, just wanted to know

Usually it is the stock hanger for the converter that causes the rattle, it gets real close and if you use a flat head screw driver you can pry the fins or tabs away from the converter body and that usually takes care of it.

I get the same rattling/chatter noise but this started happening after I put the test pipe in. The noise happens only when I let go of the gas in high rmps and going 65+ on highways.

I have a warpspeed y-pipe but it's been installed for almost a year before the noise started. I thought it was the B&M shifter but doesn't seem like it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks ...
