I am having this minor problem, whenever I turn my car on, usualy the first time any day, it turns on rpms go up then jump for a sec or two then the car turns off. The only way to avoid this is to hit the gas right after I turn the car so the rpms go way up but wont jump and the car wont turn off. What could this be related to? Thanks

This seems to be a common problem in the fourth generation Maximas. I have heard many suggestions for a fix, and I have tried them all. Nothing has worked so far. Sorry that this is not the answer you were looking for, but unless anyone else comes forward, I think that's all you'll find.
