Suggested places to put dynamat on our car

Doors, Deck lid for rear speakers, and maybe the trunk. I don't want to pull carpet, I just want to get the maximum ammount of sound deading for the least ammount of effort, and sheets of dynamat used.

man i did my trunk. waste of money cause I should've really use the spray kind back there. The xtreme just didn't stop the truck from flexing like i hoped. tooo many creavisis. i would suggest upper deck by the rear speakers. and spray the trunk lid.

Can you hear all that rattleing over the music that your listening too?

if not then i wouldn't worry about it, b/c your listening to the music for you, not the people outside the car right?

i used 50 Sq'ft just doing my trunk and sh*t still rumbles like crazy. I did the rear deck lid to, about 2 layers on top and another 2 on the bottom. i used either brown bread or e-dead though, i forget. I said screw the door because i got tired of it after i finished the trunk.

Definitely listening for me, yeah... but I want to have good sound quality. If I can cancel out some road noise, I would be a little happier.

how much does that spray cost? does it really work better? also i read (don't flame me) about someone using like.. home depot style roofing insulation instead of dynamat since it's much cheaper. dynamat is just too ****ing expensive for me.

Roofing insulation? NOOB!!!

hahaha, j/k... I've read roofing insulation works too...
But I'm not actually going to use dynamat. I am, however, going to
use the exact same stuff. Go to http://www.mcmaster.com/ and
do a search for 9709T19. It is the exact same stuff... as in
its made in the same place without being stamped with stupid
"dynamat" logoes. Its about 12 sqft and costs about $15/sheet.
Which, an equivalent dynamat sheet, costs about $65 retail. Enjoy

actually for the price difference, you might as well use peel and seal (the roofing stuff you laughed at) instead of dynamat.. works just as well, and is like 9 bucks a roll

This thread is extremely discouaging. I want to get rid of the rattle...dynamatted part of my trunk and it got better, but still have some rattles.

I haven't even done anything on the doors or rear deck lid, but let me tell you...doing my trunk was a real *****. I have a stealthbox so I ahd to dynamat the side...up over the wheel well and stuff on the drivers side. Spent the ebtter part of 4 hours laying in the trunk. Not fun.

dood, i was just kidding... there's something about buying material specifically made for sound deading though.
You are right though, the roofing stuff should work as well. All we are trying to do is weight certian areas of the car down.

i tried to tell u guys not to waste time dynamatting the trunk lid. tooo many freakin holes they have spray insulation (dynamat and other brands) that would need to be sprayed in all those holes first. the gap is too large between where u r putting the dynamat and where it is vibrating.

http://www.dynamat.com/car_dynashield.htm

u can look for who sales it in your area thru their site. good luck. i love dynamat but it didn't help 1 lil bit. guess u should do it the right way the first time.

everyone listens to music for them selves. However when i invested so much money for my system i do want to show off once in a while. Anyway where is the ratteling comming from exactly cuz inside the car its amazing sound, but when u get out and come to the trunk it sounds as though you got someone inside dying to get out!

I don't have any rattling... I think u guys misunderstand my intentions. I just want to make it quieter inside the cabin, and wanted the best way to do that.
