shifts into second fine, acceleration is good until it hits second. after that rpm's shoot up to redline and won't upshift anymore than that. i checked the tfluid and there's no metal dust or anything like that. i talked to some different people and they said that i would need to get a new tranny or get it rebuilt but the tranny was only like 6 months old and wasn't run hard at all. any info would help.

 

Sounds like something with the valve body not letting the tranny shift you need to have it looked at professionally.

 

Yes have it looked at.

Typically when a tranny is rebuilt there is like a 1 year 12000 mile warranty. So you may be covered. Check with the shop that did the job.

 

sounds like the valvebody.... same exact thing happened to me after the stealership left bolts out of the valvebody (turns out they were laying in the transmission pan).... each gear went out 1 by 1 except for reverse. had to have it towed in

 

thanks you guys. only thing is whenever it started messin up, the warranty already expired. another thing that started happenin was when i shifted into reverse, the car would start vibratin real bad and sometimes, when i was in drive, the car would just "shift" into neutral so the rpm's would shoot up and the car would come to a standstill. i didn't shift into neutral but the car would just automatically do it. any info would help. thanks again.
