recall on alt.

I have read a few threads and well i found nothing on this recall.. I saw that pl talked of it but never about it.. I am wondering if i can go get a new alt for free. on me and my wifes maxima's??? My wife has a 97 and I have a 96 both of them are gxe.. And also What do i do to go get this done, if this recall is for me??

Any answer is a good answer, so plz feel free to help me out here...

No you can't, '98 only.

are you sure? i got a letter from the dealership about the recall and i have a 97...
