HELP !!! Keyless Entry Install
HELP !!! Keyless Entry Install
Okay, I bought a '96 SE that did not have an alarm or keyless entry. I have found the wires that were taped up for the keyless entry module in the trunk. I now have the module with the matching key fob. All wires have been connected but it still will not work or program the fob. What else is there to it? I am at a loss of what to do next....Help please.

No I bought the aftermarket. I got the Omega K9, 2 remotes, the reciever, the shock sensor, 2 relays, the alarm, all the wires, and the trunk solenoid so that I can pop my trunk, for about $90 shipped. I think the only think I needed to buy was a $1 diode so that I could hook up the trunk and hood pin switch to set off the alarm, instead of having to shoose one.
Re:
Okay, I know someone out there has installed the factory keyless entry. Give me the details please. At the very least someone has repaired or replace the keyless entry and may know what the components that it takes to get this working.
I assume I am missing something because I cannot get the hazards to flash when inserting the key six times within 10 sec. Or am I not completing the programming procedures correctly. The doors are all locked while attempting this procedure.
What's up????

The section for theft warning system is 30 pages long. It is a very integrated system and doesn't look like a plug a play item. The module you installed in the trunk is called "multi-remote control unit LCU-05" which requires a trunk lid opener actuator. I'm assuming you have a manual trunk release now.. Now just add under the hood a theft warning relay, 2 theft warning horn relays, theft warning lamp relay, theft warning horn, hood switch, and 2 door cylinder tamper switches, security indicator lamp, a "LCU01", a "LCU04", modified BCM (body control module) a multitude of "door lock and unlock" sensors and you MAY get a factory theft warning system that unlocks the doors and trunk. I would suggest going to an auto alarm store for $179 installed to get the same thing in aftermarket. This is what I did for my "95 Max 9 years ago. The only problem I see with aftermarket is that since it was something called a "double pulsed" system on the Max it takes 2 seconds for the doors to unlock after pushing the remote button. Something I hate still after 9 years.......good luck!
