Keyless Entry Remote

Hi All,

Bought a 2013 Nissan Maxima about a month ago from a private seller and all he had was one keyless entry remote. I'm looking to buy one on Amazon or Ebay instead of going to the dealer to save money. Question is, how do I know I'm buying the right one? My FCC ID on the one I currently have is KR55WK48903. Do I need any other info off my current one? Do I need to get one with the same FCC ID? Once I get it, do I have to go to the dealer or locksmith for programming? Please help.

you can go to either a locksmith is they have the equipment for programming or dealership i would inquire on that in your area for the fcc id number as far as i know we have a multitude of fcc ids and they all work.
